Washington – The co-chairs of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Reps. Raúl M. Grijalva (D-AZ) and Keith Ellison (D-MN), along with members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, will present the CPC’s budget deal priorities for fiscal year 2016 on Tuesday, October 27. The co-chairs will be joined by representatives from labor and advocacy groups including The Service Employees International Union, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, The Center for Law and Social Policy, The Center for Effective Government, The Children’s Leadership Council, The National Women’s Law Center, The National Low Income Housing Coalition, The Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, Social Security Works, Bend the Arc Jewsih Action, NETWORK Lobby, and other groups. Members of Congress including Mark Pocan (D-WI), Barbara Lee (D-CA), and Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX) will also attend.

The Progressive Caucus’ principles prioritize the American people and vital investments over politics as usual and policies that have created unprecedented income inequality over the past four decades.The CPC will adhere to the principles in considering its support of any agreement.
